Drivers Eye Testing
The Department of the Enviornment now require all drivers and learners to have an eye examination done when applying for a driving licence. Their application form is located here
You require a Driver Vision Certification, stating that you are visually fit to drive when you apply for a licence. You have no obligation if you already have a license. However if you have not had an eye examination, it is most important that you have even minor visual corrections made to ensure you have your best vision possible for night time driving. That extra few meters of visual recognition might be the difference that saves a life and avoids a serious accident.
